Drawn to the quiet.
I’m Paul Marcoe, a Pacific Northwest nature and wildlife photographer based in Washington State.
My photography is inspired by quiet mornings, changing weather, mountain landscapes, forests, waterfalls, and the wildlife that calls this region home. I’m especially drawn to moments that feel peaceful and atmospheric—the kind of scenes that make you slow down and take a closer look.
Whether I’m hiking before sunrise, waiting patiently for a bird to appear, or watching fog move through the trees, my goal is to create photographs that preserve the feeling of being there.

A sense of place
Bringing the Pacific Northwest home
Each photograph in this collection is selected for its ability to create a sense of place. I want the artwork to do more than decorate a wall—I want it to bring the calm, beauty, and wild character of the Pacific Northwest into your home.
My prints are professionally produced using carefully selected materials, including archival fine art paper, canvas, and metal. Each format is chosen to complement the photograph and provide a lasting presentation.
Beyond the frame
The story behind the photograph
Photography is often only the final moment of a much longer experience. The early alarm, the drive into the mountains, the changing light, the waiting, and sometimes the unexpected wildlife encounter are all part of the story.
Through my photography and behind-the-scenes videos, I share both the finished artwork and the experiences that led to it.
