Deck Plus Exterior Wood Screws — 1-5/8"
Tan exterior screws for all cedar assembly connections. Pre-drill pilot holes to prevent splitting. These are the same screws used on all Marcoe Woodworks builds.

20V Cordless Drill Driver
A cordless drill driver is essential for driving lag screws and drilling pilot holes throughout the build. The DEWALT 20V MAX is a reliable choice with plenty of torque for cedar.

Brad Point Drill Bit Set
For pilot holes and lag screw clearance holes. Brad point bits make cleaner holes in cedar than standard twist bits, reducing tear-out on the post face.

SKIL 10" Sliding Compound Miter Saw
Makes fast, accurate crosscuts for trimming the cedar post to length. A sliding miter saw handles wider boards and is the most-used saw on this build.
