The Photographer

My love of photography started long before I ever picked up a camera. As a kid, I was captivated by a set of Viewmaster slides from the 1961 Seattle World's Fair. No words, no sound — just images that told a story about a time and a place. I was hooked.

I studied photography in college, learned the darkroom, and then spent 25 years building a career in technology and finance. The 2020 lockdown brought me back to the lens. I took a masterclass, bought my first DSLR, and haven't stopped shooting since.

My philosophy is simple: Explore · Take a Picture · Tell a Story. I chase light through the forests, along the coast, and up into the mountains of the Pacific Northwest — always looking for the image that makes you feel like you were there.
